Description
Bàrbara Forés Blanc is a white wine that comes from estates located in the municipality of Gandesa, in the Terra Alta region. This wine is made mainly from the Garnacha Blanca grape variety, complemented with Viognier. The combination of these varieties gives the wine a distinctive and complex character.
Winemaking
The winemaking process for Bàrbara Forés Blanc follows traditional methods, respecting the agro-ecology of the dry farming landscape. The vines are grown under conditions of high sunshine and low rainfall, characteristic of the Mediterranean climate. After the harvest, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks, where it is aged on fine lees to increase the complexity and structure of the wine.
Taste
Bàrbara Forés Blanc stands out for its rich and diverse aromatic and taste palette. On the nose, it displays a wide range of fruity notes, predominantly stone and yellow fruit, such as peach and apricot, along with hints of ripe quince. These aromas are complemented by subtle hints of citrus and white flowers, such as orange blossom, as well as notes of aromatic Mediterranean herbs, such as rosemary and thyme.
On the palate, the wine is well structured, medium-bodied and balanced. Its flavour is powerful and savoury, with an oily and creamy sensation that envelops the palate. The acidity is fresh and well-integrated, bringing liveliness and balance to the whole. On the finish, light mineral notes are perceived that add depth and complexity to the wine, making Bàrbara Forés Blanc a complete and pleasurable sensory experience.
