Description
Planetes de Nin is a red wine made from Grenache and Carignan in the region of Catalonia (D.O.Q. Priorat).
The grapes come from still young vines planted on llicorella soils from 4 hectares of vineyards planted on the Les Planetes estate in Porrera.
Porrera is a particularly cool area, which provides a wine faithful to the terroir, and to the personality of the historic Priorat varieties, in this case Grenache and Carignan.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand. Only natural yeasts are used for fermentation. It has been made and aged in 2 foudres of 3000 litres of French oak. The wine is aged for 14 months in the same vats and the varieties are aged together. No sulphur compounds are used during the ageing process.
Taste
Planetes de Nin has delicate aromas of fresh fruit with mineral notes on the nose. It is an elegant and fine wine, silky and pleasant on the palate. It has adequate acidity with soft, velvety tannins. The finish is long and fine.

Planetes de Nin comes from grapes planted in vineyards of certified organic farming production and biodynamic methods by the Nin-Ortiz Family Winery.
This wine is special, it corresponds to the particular style of the winemaker Ester Nin; it is intense, vigorous but delicate at the same time.
It also possesses a depth that is attributed to the intrinsic elegance of the grapes. Undoubtedly, it is a wine that clearly shows its origin.
In the gastronomic field, it is the ideal accompaniment for meals such as roast meats, old cheeses, Iberian cured meats and spoon dishes.
