Description
Clos des Grillons Primo Senso Blanc is a white wine from the Rhone Valley region, produced by Nicolas Renaud. This wine is made from a blend of viognier and muscat, grape varieties that bring unique characteristics to the final product. Renaud, a former history and geography teacher, has been involved in viticulture since 2007, applying biodynamic practices in his 18-hectare vineyard in Rochefort-du-Gard.
Winemaking
The winemaking process is completely natural, without the addition of sulphites, and with a short ageing in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine is neither clarified nor filtered.
Taste
Clos des Grillons Primo Senso Blanc is characterised by its freshness and fluidity, making it a very easy-drinking wine. On the nose, it presents moderate exotic aromas and a marked fruit that is perceived in a pleasant and balanced way. On the palate, notes of pear and apricot can be identified, which, together with the Muscat, form a solar and southern French aromatic profile. The well-integrated acidity and light character make it a very digestible wine, ideal to enjoy on any occasion.
