Buy Wine from Ceretto
The Ceretto winery is located in the Langhe-Roero wine region, a landscape that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014. Founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto, it initially owned no vineyards of its own and produced wine from purchased grapes. However, the winery's history took a significant turn with the addition of his sons, Bruno and Marcello Ceretto.
Inspired by the vineyards of Burgundy and recognising the importance of the soil, they began mapping and acquiring the land that produced the best wines in the 1960s. This innovative vision led them to purchase high quality vineyards, making the Ceretto winery a world reference.Vineyards
Tenuta Monsordo Bernardina in Alba is one of Ceretto's most outstanding properties. Acquired in the 1980s, this estate has more than 30 hectares of vineyards surrounding the main house. These vineyards are home to both traditional and international varieties, all cultivated under strict principles of environmental sustainability.
The Bricco Rocche winery in Castiglione Falletto was built in 1982 and expanded in 2000 with the addition of the iconic glass cube. This winery is home to some of the region's most prestigious crus, such as Brunate, Prapò and Cannubi San Lorenzo.
Bricco Asili was the first winery built by Bruno and Marcello in 1973. Today, it processes grapes from three exceptional climates: Bernadot, Gallina and Asili.
In 1976, Bruno and Marcello, together with the Scavinos family, founded I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano. This winery owns 30 hectares and rents the San Maurizio estate, a prestigious area of approximately 15 hectares.
Philosophy
Ceretto focuses on the importance of terroir and sustainability. Over the years, they have demonstrated a commitment to environmental sustainability, cultivating their vineyards with respect for nature. In addition, they have constantly sought innovation, as evidenced by the creation of modern facilities such as The Grape and the Cube. They have also shown a deep respect for tradition, maintaining the essence of winemaking while adopting modern techniques.
The Ceretto winery is not only dedicated to the production of high quality wines, but has also been involved in cultural and gastronomic projects, such as the renovation of the Barolo Chapel and the opening of award-winning restaurants.
In short, the Ceretto winery is a testament to the commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation, while always maintaining a deep respect for the tradition and terroir of the Langhe-Roero region.
