Buy Wine from Les Deux Terres
Domaine Les Deux Terres is the project created from the collaboration of two winegrowers, Vincent Fargier and Manu Cunin. Located in Villeneuve-de-Berg, a small village in Ardeche, in 2009 they decided to join their two lands and make their own natural wine together, instead of selling their grapes to the cooperative.
Les Deux Terres vineyard
On their 13 hectares, they grow various grapes, such as viognier and chardonnay, but most of their vineyards are planted with grenache and syrah. Les Deux Terres was born from two different but very close worlds. When they met again, Manu bought some vineyards with basalt soil, located at high altitude. Vincent, on the other hand, got his clay and limestone terroir. Finally, they decided to take the plunge and create their own varieties. All their farming is organic, from hand-picking the grapes to bottling. Thanks to their well-known neighbouring natural winegrowers such as Le Mazel, Calek and Azzoni, these two winemaking friends have been inspired to create wines with very little intervention, with the utmost respect for the fruit, as if it were a form of veneration.
Les Deux Terres wines
Among their most outstanding bottles we can find the juicy Carignan, Les Deux Terres Ripaille 2019 and the Grenache red, Les Deux Terres Vin Nu Rouge 2018, fresh, fragrant, spicy. Fermentation is traditional, spontaneous in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, as in all their natural wines. Also, Les Deux Terres Jaja 2018, a blend of merlot, cinsault and grenache and Les Deux Terres Vin Nu Blanc 2018, a Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc aged in neutral oak. All their bottlings are made without fining, filtering or SO2 addition.
