Description
Christian Tschida Hokus Pokus comes from vineyards with an average age of 40 years, which gives it a unique richness and complexity. The grapes used for its production are mainly Grüner Veltliner, complemented with a touch of Riesling.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and then crushed with the feet, a traditional method that respects the integrity of the fruit. Fermentation is carried out in large vats, using indigenous yeasts and without racking. It is aged for a year in Stockinger oak vats, which gives it a distinctive structure and character. The wine is bottled without fining or filtering and without the addition of sulphur.
Taste
Christian Tschida Hokus Pokus is a wine that surprises from the first moment. On the nose, it displays an unexpected aromatic range, and on the palate, it feels like two wines in one. It has a smooth texture, with a well-defined body and a long finish. However, some might find it a little too woody and buttery, especially considering it is made with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. Fortunately, this sensation is perfectly balanced by a refreshing acidity that gives it liveliness and freshness.
