Description
Billecart-Salmon Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is a sparkling white wine made from Chardonnay by the Billecart-Salmon winery in the Champagne region of France.
The grapes come from four Grands Crus of the famous Côte des Blancs, in the town of Avize. This vineyard area is made up of large terroirs classified as Grand Cru dedicated to the cultivation of the Chardonnay variety.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand. They are then racked and fermented at a low temperature in small stainless steel tanks. This guarantees a slow process where the aromas are extracted and the maximum expression of the variety is preserved.
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is kept for 6 to 8 years in bottles and 8 to 10 years in 1.5 litre magnum bottles.
Taste
To the eye, the fine mousse and delicate bubbles are visible. On the nose, this champagne offers delicate aromas, floral notes, citrus and delicious mineral aromas.
The palate is creamy and fruity with a balanced intensity. The finish is long and lingering, offering great ageing potential!
