Buy Wine with Loureira
Loureiro variety is original from the Vale do Lima, placed in the northern coastal area of Minho region, in Portugal. It is fruitful and considerably productive thanks to its heavy and packed clusters. It has medium budding but early ripening. Loureiro is prone to suffer downy mildew, powdery mildew, excoriosis (dead arm), botrytis cinerea and mite.
Loureiro wines are fresh and have a distinctive flowers and laurel leaves aroma, but also linden, orange blossom and acacia; besides they can seldom have orange, peach and granny smith taste.
In Spain, Loureiro variety is authorised in the appellations Rías Baixas, Ribeira Sacra and Ribeiro, where it can also be included in other wines with Albariño, Treixadura and Godello.
