The freshness and absence of fruit of the 2022 Partida Pedrer Rosat has to do with the Monastrell (which is still not allowed by the appellation...). They look for more ripeness in the rosé than in the red, from vines in the middle of the forest, a vineyard they planted in 2002. It's very pale, almost a blanc de noirs, on very steep slopes and facing north, toward the Montsant Mountains. The juice from the direct pressing fermented in large and neutral oak barrels, where it aged until bottling. It's a powerful rosé, characterful, clearly transcending the color and category, a wine for the table. It keeps the poise in a very challenging year.
