Description
Paolo Scavino Langhe Nebbiolo represents the essence of Piedmont. Produced from the Nebbiolo grape variety, this wine comes from sites that enhance the more ethereal aromatics and structure of Nebbiolo.
Winemaking
During the alcoholic fermentation process, it is kept at a low temperature to achieve a gentle extraction. Ageing takes place partly in neutral toasted oak so as not to influence its flavour and the rest of the ageing takes place in stainless steel tanks, with the aim of preserving its freshness and highlighting the classic nuances of the Nebbiolo grape.
Taste
Paolo Scavino Langhe Nebbiolo has a bright red colour. On the nose, it displays notes of cherry and morello cherry, accompanied by floral aromas such as violets and roses. On the palate, we find an array of tart red fruit flavours, with some notes reminiscent of orange peel. The tannins are firm and grippy, and the acidity is remarkably high. It also has notes of wood that are evident on the finish.
