Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

A blend of all the vineyards planted with white grape varieties (such as Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling and Gewurztraminer) that were harvested together, the 2016 Weiss has a slightly dusty golden-apricot color and opens with a deep, intense, spicy, pure, fresh and reductive bouquet of citrus fruits and crushed chalk. Lush and vital on the palate, this is a light but intense, juicy, textured and well-structured white blend with finely racy acidity and a stimulatingly salty, grippy and chalky finish. Bottled in autumn 2017, tasted August 2018.
