The 2022 Riesling Ried Heiligenstein 1ÖTW Alte Reben opens with a deep, intense, saline and remarkably concentrated bouquet of ripe lemon fruits, lime, herbs and crushed sandstone. Dense and juicy on the palate and rounder than in recent years, probably matured in more small oak (?), this is a rich, round and juicy yet elegant as well as savory Heiligenstein with an unusual roundness and texture at this early stage. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in March 2024. To be released at the end of this year.
