Description
Antoine Lienhardt Grand Crew is a distinctive wine produced in homage to one of Burgundy's most exciting winemakers, using grapes from the Rhône. This wine, labelled "Vin de France", combines varieties such as Syrah, Grenache Blanc and a touch of Viognier, all vinified in Burgundy. This blend results in a dark-coloured rosé or light red wine, designed to be enjoyed with friends after the harvest or on rainy days.
Winemaking
The winemaking process includes a seven-day semi-carbonic maceration, followed by ageing in cement eggs for eight months. This technique highlights its freshness and playful, bright and lively profile. Only 1000 bottles are produced annually, making it an exclusive jewel for wine lovers. Vinification in cement eggs gives it a light and juicy structure, with a lovely balance between acidity and minerality.
Taste
Antoine Lienhardt Grand Crew offers a remarkably fresh taste experience, with an initially vibrant and lively profile that evolves over time. When served chilled, it presents itself with a caramel and stony character for the first 30 minutes. However, as time passes, this flavour transforms into more woody and bitter notes.
On the palate, the wine is fluid and ethereal, highlighting red fruit flavours. Its structure is smooth, with a touch of tannins that add complexity without being overwhelming. The freshness and liveliness of the wine make it perfect to accompany informal moments, highlighting its ability to be enjoyed on a variety of occasions and with a variety of food pairings. The combination of Syrah and Grenache Blanc provides a solid base of flavours, while the touch of Viognier adds a unique aromatic nuance, completing a truly multifaceted tasting experience.
