Description

Reyneke Organic Chenin Blanc is an organic white wine that stands out for its purity and authenticity. Produced by Reyneke Wines, this wine is made exclusively from the Chenin Blanc variety. With an alcohol content of 13.0%, this wine comes from the Stellenbosch wine region.

Winemaking

The Chenin Blanc grapes come from beautiful organic vineyards located no more than 40 km inland from the Atlantic Ocean. These vines are planted on decomposed sandy and granitic soils. It is precisely this type of soil that adds to the flavour profile of the grapes and the final wine. As for the winemaking process, the grapes are selected in bunches and destemmed, and then undergo natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After three months of ageing on lees, the wine is finally blended and bottled.

Taste

Reyneke Organic Chenin Blanc offers notes of pear, yellow peach, ripe lemon and Golden Delicious apple on the nose. As the wine opens up, a slight hint of pineapple can be perceived. On the palate, we find an abundance of ripe fruit, but balanced with a lovely acidity and a dry finish.
