Description
Hacienda López de Haro Blanco Reserva is a tribute to Rioja's winemaking tradition, born on the fertile slopes of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and watered by the breezes of the Ebro River. This winery, which began its journey in 2003, is part of the prestigious history of the region's wines. 95% Viura predominates in its composition, complemented by 5% of other varieties such as Malvasía, Tempranillo Blanco, Garnacha Blanca and Torrontés. The selected vineyards, some with decades of history, are located in Sonsierra and Alto Najerilla, offering a wealth of nuances that come from their well-drained, nutrient-rich soils.
Winemaking
The winemaking process of Hacienda López de Haro Blanco Reservesis meticulously cared for. After a manual harvest in September, the grapes undergo 24 hours of maceration and gentle pressing before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Ageing is a key point: 18 months in oak barrels, mainly Eastern European, combined with French and American oak, allow the wine to develop its complexity. It then matures in the bottle for more than three years, a step that seals its elegant and refined character.
