Description
In the most intimate heart of the Llopart estate, among dry terraces and stony soils that breathe history, Llopart Vitis is born, a wine that pays tribute to the vine's almost magical ability to transform sun, water and stone into aroma, freshness and character. The project is based on a clear intuition: that grapes, when cultivated with respect and interpreted with sensitivity, can express not only their variety, but also the secret life of the plant that produces them.
Inspired by this vegetal fascination, Llopart decided to create a still wine in a land marked by the sparkling tradition. A brave and personal bet. The varietal combination - Xarel.lo (60%) from the Simón vineyard (2004), Malvasia de Sitges (30%) from the Lluís vineyard (2008), and Muscat (10%) from the Torrota vineyard (2001) - comes from plots located in the Clos dels Costers and the Clos del Rocallís, areas with chalky soils, generous sun exposure and moderate altitude. An environment that sets the pace of a demanding viticulture, where each plant finds its natural balance.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit as much as possible. Each variety that makes up Llopart Vitis is vinified separately. A short skin maceration allows the most delicate aromas to be captured before gentle pressing. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature in order to preserve varietal purity. There is no oak. Only a brief ageing on fine lees to gain texture without losing freshness.
Llopart Vitis is bottled young, seeking to capture the exact moment when fruit and acidity are at their most intense. Its low residual sugar content (0.6 g/L) and lively acidity (5.8 g/L) make it a dry, vibrant and authentic wine.
Taste
Llopart Vitis is an expressive yet elegant wine. Aromas of white fruit, citrus peel, wild flowers and an exotic touch of tropical fruit open the sensory range. On the palate, the entry is direct, marked by an incisive acidity and a saline profile that anchors it to the earth. The finish is long, clean and refreshing, with echoes of Mediterranean herbs and wet stone. A wine that speaks clearly, but quietly. A tribute to the grape in its purest form.
