The pure Cariñena (which they continue calling Samsó) 2018 La Carrerada is very elegant and balanced, floral and unusually light with very fine tannins and a notable absence of rusticity. It has great balance and harmony with the depth and wisdom of old vines (planted in 1936). It fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top 500-liter barrels and matured in neutral oak for 12 months. Superb. Only 760 bottles were filled in the spring of 2020.
