The NV Brut Rose is a big, lusty wine bursting with rich, dark red fruit, flowers and mint. This large scaled, broad shouldered wine saturates the palate with layer after layer of flavor. It is a fabulous effort. The Rose is 60% Chardonnay, 28% Pinot Noir and 12% still Pinot, all from Bouzy. This is Lot# 9408. Disgorged January 2011.

Description
The champagne Camille Savès Cuvée Rosé Grand Cru represents the winemaking tradition of the Bouzy Grand Cru region. This champagne is mainly composed of 60% Chardonnay Bouzy Grand Cru and 28% Pinot Noir Bouzy Grand Cru, blended harmoniously with the famous Bouzy red wine.
Winemaking
The grapes, selected by hand for their optimum ripeness, are gently pressed to extract only the finest musts. After cold clarification, the must undergoes a first thermoregulated fermentation at 18ºC, without malolactic fermentation. The wine rests on the lees for 7 months in stainless steel tanks and is then blended with red wine before bottling. The ageing process continues in the bottle on the lees for 3 to 4 years before disgorging and final dosage of 4 grams per litre of sugar (Extra Brut).
Taste
Camille Savès Cuvée Rosé Grand Cru has a pale pink colour, tinged with golden and salmon pink tones. Its bubbles, lively and elegant, prelude an intense bouquet of red fruits on the nose, highlighting aromas of raspberry, black cherry and cherry. On the palate, this champagne delights with immediate finesse and elegance, giving way to a finish dominated by fruit. Its taste, described as fresh and crisp, evokes notes of raspberry, blueberry and freshly baked bread. This rosé is not only the perfect champagne aperitif, but also enhances any dessert with red fruit components.
