Description
Champagne Bérêche Ambonnay Grand Cru comes from the prestigious Montagne de Reims region. This wine is the result of the passion and dedication of the Bérêche & Fils house, which has been producing champagnes of exceptional quality for generations.
Winemaking
This champagne is made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, harvested in the village of Ambonnay, specifically from a single 0.40 hectare plot called "Les Tourets". With an average vine age of 50 years and located at an altitude of 110 m with a 10% slope, these grapes grow in a deep, brown soil of clay and chalk which gives them unique characteristics.
The production of this champagne is entirely traditional. Fermentation is carried out slowly in French oak barrels, followed by ageing on the lees. The second fermentation, or mousse, is carried out in the bottle with natural cork, and the wine is left to mature in the cellar for 54 months. With a dosage of 3 g/L, this wine is a pure and territorial representation of Champagne Blanc de Noirs.
Taste
Bérêche Ambonnay Grand Cru is a true expression of its terroir. With aromas of pear, toast, honey and white flowers, this champagne is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive. Its structure is elegantly muscular, complemented by a fluffy mousse. On the palate, notes of sweet red cherry, red plum, spice and dried flowers build towards a dense finish. In addition, the Pinot Noir aromas unfold majestically with hints of mild spice, almond and plum. The entry on the palate is impressively powerful and velvety, but a beautiful freshness underlies, giving the wine impressive length and an astonishingly complex finish.
