Description
Susana Esteban Crochet is a Douro red wine blended from two main grape varieties: Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional. These are emblematic of the region and are known for bringing complexity and character to the wines.
Winemaking
Harvested by hand in 15 kg crates, followed by a rigorous selection at the entrance of the winery. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks, followed by post-fermentation maceration. Crochet is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new barrels and 60% are second year barrels.
Taste
With an intense ruby colour, reflecting its richness and depth. On the nose, it offers a deep and complex aroma of ripe red fruits, anticipating the sensory experience to come. On the palate, the fruity notes blend harmoniously with the soft but present tannins, culminating in a very long aftertaste.
This wine pairs perfectly with strong dark meats and game dishes.
