The eponymous red 2021 Pujanza was produced with Tempranillo from Laguardia and sourced from different vineyards—a total of 23 separate plots. It fermented by soil in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. I hadn't tasted this textbook modern Crianza for a while. It has a neat combination of red fruit, spice and herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with abundant, slightly dusty tannins. It has 14.8% alcohol, a pH of 3.61 and 5.92 grams of acidity. 100,000 bottles produced.

Pre-fermentative 5-day skin soaking. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and 20 days of maceration of the skins. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
