Description
The white wine Philine Isabelle Langhe Chardonnay comes from a vineyard in the Piedmont region, specifically in Presa, Barolo. This white wine is made from the Chardonnay grape variety in its entirety. The land on which this grape is grown has an easterly orientation and is located at an altitude of 230-300 metres above sea level, characterised by sandy fossil marls of Sant'Agata. This Chardonnay vineyard is planted in the valley, right at the foot of the hillside.
Winemaking
Biodynamic practices are used to obtain this wine. The wine is made by direct pressing and spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Ageing is carried out in used oak barrels, without any type of filtering. During production, a small amount of sulphur dioxide is added to the destemmed grapes and occasionally before bottling.
Taste
Philine Isabelle Langhe Chardonnay has a straw yellow colour with golden highlights. Its bouquet is intense, with a pleasant vanilla note predominating over the tropical fruit notes. On the palate, it reveals a smooth flavour and a pleasant sapidity on the finish.
