Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The NV Rosé Premier Cru Anthocyanes is a beautifully pure and fruity Rosé that was fermented in oak. It’s pretty rich and intense but also very fresh and reveals some fine, vinous tannins, while the finish is quite firm and a bit drying. This assemblage blends the vintages of 2012 (20%), 2011 (46%) and 2010 (34%). Bottled in September 2013, the wine was disgorged in July 2017 with a dosage of 4.5 grams per liter. Tasted April 2018.

Description
Pascal Doquet Anthocyanes Rosé Premier Cru Extra Brut is a rosé champagne made mainly from Pinot Noir (34%) and Chardonnay (66%), grown in vineyards classified as Premier Cru in the prestigious Côte des Blancs region. Pascal Doquet's philosophy is based on sustainable viticulture and organic farming practices, with a focus on preserving the natural environment. The chalky soils of this region offer the vines ideal conditions to develop high quality grapes.
Winemaking
Pascal Doquet Anthocyanes Rosé is obtained through a malolactic fermentation process and vinified in oak barrels, achieving a singular expression of the terroir. In addition, the low dosage of 4.5 g/l highlights its Extra Brut character, giving it a vibrant freshness and great elegance.
Taste
On the palate, Pascal Doquet Anthocyanes Rosé has notes of red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, providing a silky and complex sensation. The acidity is precise and balanced, giving it a crisp texture and remarkable freshness. The aromas on the nose reflect the intensity of ripe and stewed fruits, making it a versatile champagne, suitable for accompanying both appetizers and more complex dishes, such as seafood or red fruit-based desserts.
