The 2015 Aspriu was produced with 53% Cabernet Franc and 47% Cabernet Sauvignon from the single vineyard La Barraca, mentioned on the label, planted on a north-facing slope on clay and gravel soils in 1996. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks, where it was kept for six months, and then matured in new and used 300- and 500-liter French oak barrels for 13 months. It's ripe at 14.80% alcohol and has an herbal, balsamic and Mediterranean nose. 2015 was a very good, classical year in the zone. The wine is very expressive and has a medium to full-bodied palate with a stony sensation. It is balanced, harmonious and with chalky tannins. 2,584 bottles and 103 magnums. It was bottled in May 2017.
