Description
The Mas del Gaio wine by Escoda Sanahuja is made from Perellada grapes (50%), white Grenache (25%) and 100-year-old Macabeu (25%), which expresses a saline touch on the palate with an earthy finish, characteristic of the influence of the Mediterranean climate.
This is a white wine worthy of being shown off at any tasting of natural wines, not only because it denotes the authenticity of the blend of flavours in the mouth, but also because it is capable of conquering all your senses.
Following the Escoda Sanahuja philosophy, this wine is made using biodynamic techniques that not only respect the expression of the fruit, but also ensure that every element involved is 100% natural.
Winemaking
The vines used to make this wine are grown in vineyards with clay-limestone soils, applying biodynamic agricultural practices, from the harvest and selection of the fruit to the fermentation process.
The fermentation process is carried out with the fruit's own yeasts in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine is aged in amphorae, where it remains for a period of 8 months with its fine lees.
Taste
The Mas del Gaio wine by Escoda Sanahuja leaves a citrus flavour on the palate with saline tones, perfectly balanced with a faint touch of acidity and an earthy nuance. On the nose, you will notice a sweet fruity aroma capable of captivating all your senses.
