Marqués de Riscal Reserva 2018
15.85€ (Inc. VAT bot. 75 cl.) / Spain
Marqués de Riscal Reserva is a wine made mostly from the Tempranillo grape variety, Vitis vinifera. Both the vineyards and the winery are located in the region of Elciego, in the Rioja Alavesa, famous for its clay-limestone soils and low rainfall.
The vineyards from which the grapes come are more than 50 years old. This means that they have developed to their maximum capacity and produce grapes of excellent quality, ideal for an unbeatable wine.
Firstly, the grapes are carefully selected, from which the must is extracted. The second step involves the controlled fermentation process, for a period of 12 days, at 25ºC, until the vinification process is completed.
The last part of the winemaking process comprises the ageing period in American oak barrels for approximately 24 months, as well as bottle ageing for an additional year. In this way the wine develops its organoleptic properties to the maximum.
On the nose, its aromas mingle with sweet, fruity notes and a slight spicy nuance. The palate is structured, fresh and pleasant, well-balanced and smooth on the palate. Long finish with balsamic accents.
The place where flavour and tradition come together.
Thanks to its careful winemaking process, Marqués de Riscal's Reserva has managed to establish itself as one of the most affordable premium wines. It is not only ideal for celebrating any special occasion. Its balanced flavour and good acidity will delight even the most experienced wine connoisseurs.
It is the ideal alternative for pairing with grilled meats, roasted vegetables and mild cheeses. It is also perfect to accompany not very spicy stews.
Don't wait any longer to try it, we know you'll love it!
