Description
Barón de Chirel Reserva wine is made mostly from Tempranillo grapes, as well as other red varieties that give it a unique and unmistakable flavour. The result is a product of exceptional quality, designed to delight both inexperienced consumers and the most demanding palates.
The Marqués de Riscal winery is located in Elciego, a town in the Rioja Alavesa region. Much of its fame comes from the fact that it is considered not only as one of the oldest wineries in La Rioja, but also from the great care they put into the elaboration of each of their products.
Winemaking
The winemaking process consists of manual selection and destemming. Once the grapes are selected, they are fermented in French oak vats. In addition, the malolactic fermentation process takes place in fine-grained barrels, and then the wine is aged for almost two years.
The last step in the vinification process of the Baron de Chirel Reserva wine is its ageing in bottle for two more years, before being released to the market. Ideal for refining the flavours to the maximum.
Taste
On the nose, its aroma is balsamic, with toasted nuances and reminiscences of ripe fruit and balsamic accents. On the palate, it is characterised by its balanced acidity, its unctuousness on the palate and a long, persistent finish.
