Description
There are decisions that are made not with the head, but with the soul. When Equipo Navazos found that boot marked with the mythical inscription "NO" -the unmistakable sign of a reserve, of something too valuable to be mixed or to leave the intimate setting of the cellar-, they knew that it was not a coincidence, but a call. The Bota de Brandy 64 "Bota NO" was born from an intuition, from a gesture of fidelity to a tradition that does not seek to please, but to move.
This brandy originates from very fine holandas, obtained by double distillation in a French Charentais style still, until they reach 72 degrees of alcohol: a precise cut, designed to capture the purest essence of the wine. These holandas were destined to a long ageing, almost two decades, which reveals a deep knowledge of time, wood and spirit.
Winemaking
For twelve years, La Bota de Brandy 64 Bota NO is aged in new French Limousin oak, where it gains structure and complexity. It then spends a further six years in dry oloroso casks, absorbing its Jerez character: saline, oxidative and nutty notes. Unfiltered, unadulterated and unblended, this edition contains the entire contents of a single butt, as is, with all its authenticity and purity.
Taste
On the nose, La Bota de Brandy 64 "Bota NO" is a low, elegant whisper: notes of old wood, blond tobacco, dried orange peel and sweet spices coexist with echoes of dried fruits and that balsamic touch so typical of aged French oak. On the palate, it is pure silk: a broad, enveloping entry, with a sober and persistent warmth. The palate is deep, dry, very long, with an almost saline minerality that balances the concentration and a finish reminiscent of the best old oloroso.
A brandy without concessions. For those who seek truth. For those who understand that patience can also intoxicate.
