Clos Lentiscus Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a sparkling wine made from Malvasia de Sitges by the Clos Lenticus winery of the DO Penedés.
The vineyards where the grapes come from have been planted on clay-limestone soils and are cultivated following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The vinification process is carried out using truly artisanal methods.
The grapes are harvested by hand and harvested at the optimum point of ripeness of the grapes. The grapes are pressed directly with cold decanting for 36 hours. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature in 5,000 litre stainless steel tanks.
The wine was aged in the bottle for 24 to 36 months with its lees in the bottle. No sugar was added after disgorging. In order to achieve the maximum expression of this sparkling wine, strict biodynamic canons were followed throughout the entire winemaking process.
Clos Lentiscus Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a very expressive sparkling wine with hints of citrus, herbs and mineral notes.
On the palate it is fresh and moderately creamy, marked by subtle spicy hints. It leaves with delicacy and character, leaving a mineral trail enveloped by elegant bitter touches and floral and fruity aromas. Truly sensational!
