Description
Álvaro Castro Branco Reserva is a white wine is a blend of traditional Portuguese varieties: Encruzado ( 50%), Cerceal (30%) and Bical (20%), with denomination of origin Dão, (Portugal). These grapes, grown on the slopes of the Serra da Estrela, benefit from protection from the Atlantic winds, resulting in aromatic and complex wines.
Its current owner, Álvaro de Castro, a civil engineer, acquired Quinta da Pellada in 1980. In doing so, Álvaro revived a family tradition of winemaking that had been forgotten for two generations. Subsequently, he also acquired Quinta de Saes, consolidating his presence in the Dão wine region.

Álvaro Castro Branco Reserva is a wine with a beautiful bitterness that makes it an excellent accompaniment to even the most robust meals. Its notes of quince, peach and redcurrant offer a fresh but long-lasting aromatic profile. Despite its richness, the wine does not feel overloaded, but rather harmonious.
