The 2022 Torresilo has a textbook profile of a modern Ribera del Duero—ripe berry fruit, generous oak, a creamy and sleek sensation and a powerful but balanced palate, with the elegant rusticity of the zone. This comes from more than 35 different plots of old vines, fermented in stainless steel with malolactic in barrel and 18 months in new and used French barriques. 39,409 bottles and 1,902 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2024.

Description
The Torresilo wine is an exemplary crianza red wine, which denotes in its flavour and aromas that it comes from one of the best vineyards of the Cillar de Silos winery. It is a wine that has been elaborated respecting the old customs and blending techniques, mixing grapes from different plots.
It is a red wine that perfectly combines the tradition of the area's own winegrowers with the most modern winery techniques. It is defined as a long-lasting and tempting wine that denotes elegance in every sip, and good ageing capacity.
Winemaking
The Torresilo wine is a red wine made from Tempranillo grapes, with the particularity that they come from 10 different plots, previously classified as high quality. After the grapes were brought to the winery, they underwent a traditional vinification process for a period of 14 months in French oak barrels.
The Torresilo wine, like the other Cillar de Silos wines, sleeps in the underground cellar owned by the Aragón family. In this cellar, the natural conditions of humidity and temperature are provided for the wines to reach the desired quality.
Taste
Torresilo wine has intense aromas of ripe fruit and a particular touch of grass. Its flavour is powerful, and from the first moment you will notice the presence of ripe tannins and spicy fruits. It is a red wine with a long lingering aftertaste and an accentuated acidity.
