The eponymous red 2017 Orto is a blend of 55% Cariñena, 30% Garnacha, 10% Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) and 5% Picapoll Tinto that fermented in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in French oak barrique with the lees for six months. It's harmonious but powerful and ripe without excess, with black fruit and aromas of berries and Mediterranean herbs. It has a medium-bodied palate that's nicely balanced, with a soft texture, fine tannins and a dry, clean finish. 15,000 bottles were filled in February 2018.
