Description
Matassa Rolaball 2020 is a French Rosé wine produced and distributed by the Matassa Languedoc Winery. This winery was created by the winegrower Tom Lubbe, and it is located in the south of France, in the Pyrenees region.
It is a winery dedicated to producing wines characterised by their quality, flavour and aroma, as well as by their low sulphur content and intervention of chemical products, since this type of grapes come from very old vines, from 30 to 115 years old.
Winemaking
Matassa Rolaball is a natural rosé wine, produced from a blend of 60% Cariñena grapes and 30% Monastrell grapes, planted in volcanic soils with black marl. For its elaboration, the grapes are traditionally harvested by hand using environmentally friendly methods.
These grapes go through a whole bunch vinification process, without destemming, and then undergo a gentle direct pressing and alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, which is stored in stainless steel. It is then aged for 6 months in the same tanks before being bottled without filtering or decanting.
Taste
The Matassa Rolaball wine is a medium rosé wine, which is defined as delicious as it comes from the mixture of red and white fruits, preserving their aromas and flavours. It has peculiar notes of rose petals, which gives it its particular and exquisite flavour. Its alcohol percentage is 11.5% and it has a very low residual sugar content.

Matassa Rolaball is a distinguished wine, which is also excellent for pairing with seafood dishes such as blue fish, shellfish or cheese boards. Ideal for a romantic candlelit dinner or a meal in the warmth of the home.
