Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The varietal Cariñena 2014 La Carrerada has aromas of tree bark, wet slate and violets, in a combination that feels rustic but with style. It has a darker color, and you can already see it in how the wine tints the cork. It's broader, with a full palate, dusty tannins and an earthy sensation, very balanced and full of character. I like this very much. It's polished but should be able to develop nicely in bottle. 560 bottles and 12 magnums were filled in June 2016.
