Description
Domaine Faiveley is a Burgundy winery with a rich history dating back to 1825, known for its meticulous attention to detail and respect for tradition. Located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the house boasts 127 hectares encompassing the finest terroirs, including parcels in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Faiveley is distinguished by its approach to sustainable viticulture and a commitment to quality that has been passed down through seven generations.
Winemaking
Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir is a single varietal wine composed of 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown on clay and limestone soils typical of the region. The vineyards enjoy a diversity of microclimates that bring complexity to the final product. Fermentation and vinification take place in the main cellar at Nuits-Saint-Georges, where the grapes are harvested and selected by hand. Depending on the vintage, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, a process that adds elegance and structure.

On the nose, notes of red fruits such as raspberry and blueberry, accompanied by a subtle hint of spice and a mineral nuance that evokes the damp earth after rain. On the palate, the entry is full and juicy, with a high acidity that adds freshness and liveliness. The tannins are integrated and elegant, developing a round texture after a few minutes in the glass. The finish is persistent, with echoes of sour cherry and a subtle hint of leather that enriches its complexity.
