The wine Els Vinyerons Saltamartí is a red wine produced by processing Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes from vines grown in clayey and alkaline soils.
The Tempranillo grape is a very aromatic fruit, and of the reds, the one with the least oxidative power. For this reason, its flavour is very peculiar, and it is also qualified as the most representative in the elaboration of quality wines.
The wine Els Vinyerons Saltamartí is defined by experts as an expressive, fresh and delicate wine, with a balanced astringency on the palate, which classifies it as exquisite, authentic and seductive.
The elaboration of Els Vinyerons Saltamartí wine begins with the harvesting of the fruit, applying artisanal techniques in favour of a respectful vinification.
It undergoes a gentle pressing to extract the must and a total destemming, and then maceration for 10 days. After this phase, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts, without adding any type of sulphites that can limit the expression of the soil and the fruit.
In the ageing phase, the Tempranillo grapes are placed in stainless steel barrels to macerate for 4 months, and the Garnacha variety for 12 months, using French oak barrels.
Els Vinyerons Saltamartí is a red wine that denotes in the mouth the presence of ripe red fruits combined with a subtle toasted touch. It is balanced on the palate with balanced astringency and a slight saline taste.
