The red 2023 Ahari wants to be a classical wine from Rioja Alavesa with a touch of modernity and is vibrant, balanced and full of fruit. It was produced with Tempranillo, Graciano and Viura grapes from vines in Laguardia and Elvillar and fermented in stainless steel, then matured in 600-liter barrels for 10 months. It's aromatic, floral, elegant, juicy and ripe. It has 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.5, very fine tannins and a tasty finish, clean and dry. 3,400 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2023.

Description
Ahari is a crianza red wine made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Viura grapes by Oxer Bastegieta under the denomination of La Rioja.
The grapes come from old vineyards located in Laguardia, Leza, Lavaridas and Elvillar, situated at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level on a soil with a background consisting of sand and a lot of quartz.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand selecting the best grapes from the centenary vineyard of the property. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts in foudres and subsequent ageing in used French oak barrels.
Malolactic fermentation and ageing takes place in French oak barrels where it ages for 12 months.
Taste
Ahari is a very expressive red wine with fruity aromas and well-integrated oak. On the palate, it has a pleasantly fresh acidity and polished tannins.
A powerful and structured wine
Ahari is a wine made with the minimum intervention in the cellar, with the aim that the wine faithfully expresses the terroir.
The label of this beautiful red wine presents, in a nod to Picasso's style in Guernica, the elf "Ahari" from Basque mythology, who went out at night to scare people for fun.
In the gastronomic field, this wine is particularly recommended as a gift and as an accompaniment to red meat and game.
