Description
Baldorba is a crianza red wine made with the red Garnacha grape by the Oxer Bastegieta winery within the D.O. Navarra.
This wine comes from a careful selection of a centenary Garnacha grape from Artazu that Oxer Bastegieta has recovered and maintained in its passion for making an excellent wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-selected from the best grapes in a century-old vineyard on the estate. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in open vats with 10% of the stalks and later refined in used French oak barrels from various cooperages.
Malolactic fermentation and ageing takes place in French oak barrels where it ages for 12 months.
Taste
Baldorba is a very expressive red wine with fruity aromas. In the mouth, it is seductive, velvety with a gentle passage with juicy acidity and soft tannins. It has a lingering finish and aftertaste.
A very special and exclusive wine
Baldorba is another of Oxer Bastegieta's wines made with minimal intervention, avoiding the use of pesticides and chemicals.
The reason for this is to ensure that the wine is a faithful expression of the characteristics of the terroir from which it originates.
Baldorba is also a very pleasing red wine where its creator leaves the Rioja Alavesa to venture into the garnachas of Artazu, within the D.O. Navarra.
In the gastronomic field, it is a wine especially recommended for dinners with friends and as an accompaniment to red meat and game.
