Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Tasted at the “First Growth” lunch in London. The Pavillon Blanc already has quite a mature appearance, a pleasant if rather neutral nose, taciturn. Hints of brioche, a touch of white flowers, flour and vanilla, then with time in glass just a hint of buttercup. The palate is medium-bodied, redolent of a Chenin Blanc in some ways with a touch of wet wool. Nice acidity and poise, but it lacks some complexity on the oxidative finish. Average for a Pavillon Blanc. Drink now-2013. Tasted October 2008.
Between 8ºC and 10ºC
