Description
Matassa Blossom wine is a natural white wine made from Muscat grapes, extracted with the best traditional techniques to guarantee the quality of the fruit. The winemaking process is carried out at the Matassa winery, located in the south of France, in Roussillon, Montner.
All the wines from this winery are characterised by their quality and low sulphur content. No additives or additional sugars are added, making them excellent wines.
Winemaking
The grapes used in its production are cultivated in exquisite soils, provided with vegetation and minerals typical of the European Mediterranean areas. Matassa Blossom is made by hand harvesting the grapes by hand. The grapes are carefully cultivated to guarantee their purity and good condition during maceration.
The juices are subjected to carbonic maceration for 2 weeks and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in French oak vats, before being aged for 7 months in old barrels.
Taste
Matassa Blossom is a straw yellow wine with greenish reflections. Its aroma denotes fatty, sweet and fruity aromas, herbaceous and iodized notes. It is balanced and its flavour is determined by the mixture of fruity ingredients such as grapes and other sweet and citric fruits.
Aged white and orange
This wine, the Blossom de Matassa, is one of the wines called "Crianza whites", because of its characteristic woody taste due to its vinification process in French oak barrels. It is also known as an "Orange" wine, due to its amber colour, also obtained thanks to its elaboration process.
Moreover, it is perfect to drink with friends, at family gatherings, accompanying meals such as Iberian cold meats, pasta, vegetarian dishes, poultry, white fish and as an aperitif.
A wine that makes an impact with its peculiar colour and its structure that denotes the artisanal taste of the fruit harvest.
