Description
The Casot is a premium quality red wine made by Bodega Combier Fischer Gerin. With a unique blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, this wine is a perfect example of the tradition and art of winemaking.
Winemaking
Casot is made following an extremely careful and traditional process. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a selection process in the vineyard to ensure that only the highest quality grapes are used in the winemaking process. The grapes are then fermented in French oak barrels for a period of 12 months.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes an additional 18 months of maturation in French and American oak barrels before bottling.
Taste
During the fermentation period, the wine acquires its characteristic smoky flavour and notes of ripe red fruits. It is a fine, well-balanced wine that feels quite elegant on the nose and concentrated on the palate. Certain notes of caramel can be perceived.
