Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 Blanc de Gresa is a blend of local white grapes—54% Garnacha Blanca, 23% Garnacha Rosada and 23% Cariñena Blanca—from old vineyards and cropped from a warm and dry year. The Garnacha fermented in 500-liter oak vats and the Cariñena Blanca in stainless steel, all with dry yeasts, and the wines stayed there for eight months before being blended. It has a golden color and a developed nose with notes of Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary) and yellow fruit. The palate combines volume with good freshness, and there's a bitter note on the finish. This is dry, long and serious. 2,950 bottles were filled in July 2017.
