The Amélie Vuillet et Sébastien Jacques winery is located in the heart of the Jura, specifically in Molamboz, a picturesque village located about ten kilometres from Arbois. This region is known for its rich winemaking tradition and unique terroir. Amélie and Sébastien, both originally from Jura, decided in 2011 to embark on their dream of becoming vignerons, establishing their own domain in this land with deep viticultural ties.

Before founding their winery, Amélie and Sébastien gained experience working alongside some of the region's most prominent vignerons, including Brignot, Bornard, Overnoy and Tissot. This experience gave them a solid foundation and a deep understanding of the art and science behind winemaking in Jura. In 2011, they acquired a small plot in Arbois and started producing wine, initially for their personal consumption. Since 2013, they have shared their production with a select group of lucky ones.

Vineyards

Amélie and Sébastien 's vineyards extend over just over a hectare, spread over small plots around their home in Molamboz, as well as in nearby areas in Arbois and Montigny-lès-Arsures. Respect for nature is a fundamental pillar of his work in the vineyards. Biodiversity is a treasure that they jealously guard, treatments are used with the utmost parsimony and the soil is worked with the help of horses, reflecting their commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices.
The terroir of this region is characterised by its geological diversity, offering a mosaic of soils which, together with the continental climate of the Jura, creates ideal conditions for growing grape varieties that fully express the uniqueness of this terroir.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Amélie Vuillet et Sébastien Jacques focuses on making natural wines that reflect the purity and authenticity of their terroir. They adopt a minimalist approach to winemaking, using only indigenous yeasts and minimising the use of additives as much as possible. This "less is more" philosophy allows their wines to naturally express the unique characteristics of the Jurassien terroir.
In the small winery adjacent to their home, they work in a gentle manner, without pumps, temperature control, filtration or additions, seeking to offer the purest expression of the place. Their wines are the result of a deep respect for the land and meticulous care in every step of the process, from the vineyard to the bottle.
Amélie and Sébastien 's wines are renowned for their purity, vitality and originality, standing out as some of the most exciting and authentic expressions of Jura.
