Description
Shortly after leaving behind their life as industrial designers in Italy, Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori arrived in the Penedès with the clear idea of going back to basics. Not through a philosophy, but through a radical commitment to the vineyard and its cycles. What they found in Bonastre was not just land - it was an opportunity: to rescueforgotten varieties and give them a new voice. From this impulse, Partida Creus Brutal was born, a name that, far from seeking impact, honours the creative freedom and uncompromising honesty that defines their way of winemaking.
This rosé -as wild as its name suggests- does not respond to predictable rules or usual structures. Here, every sip is an unexpected twist, an electric sparkle that awakens the senses. The base is composed of a blend as singular as its style: Vinyater, Subirat Parent, Xarel.lo, Cartoixa Vermell and Blanc de Sumoll. All of them grown without chemical additives, in limestone and clay soils that open up between pine trees and Mediterranean scrubland, breathing the breeze of the Garraf. A living ecosystem where the vines grow with minimum human intervention and maximum respect for the environment.
Winemaking
No fixed formulas: Partida Creus Brutal is the result of a blend of already fermented wines, combined after bottling. An alchemy that respects the natural expression of each variety, with no sulphur added at any stage of the process. The wine is aged for seven months in stainless steel tanks, where the wine is naturally decanted. Every decision - and every non-decision, too - allows the wine to speak freely.
Taste
Partida Creus Brutal opens with a juicy, direct, almost anarchic freshness. The first sip is a fruity jolt, with notes of fresh pomegranate, citrus peel and a slight herbaceous wink reminiscent of Mediterranean scrubland. The texture is light, with a tense and vibrant point that accompanies a firm acidity. On the palate, saline, wild and fruity notes blend with a disarming naturalness. Partida Creus Brutal is not for everyone, but those who understand it do not want to let it go.
