Description
Jordi Llorens Atikete is a red wine made from Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah and Bobal grapes by the Celler Jordi Llorens winery in Blancafort, Conca de Barberà.
The grapes used to make Jordi Llorens Atikete come from vineyards planted on carbonate shale and gypsum soils.
Elaboration
The grapes are harvested by hand, partially destemmed and macerated for two weeks. Subsequently, they begin the process of spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
Finally, they are aged for 12 months in 400-litre oak barrels from 2003 and 225-litre oak barrels from 2006. No sulphur dioxide is added and the wine is bottled unfiltered and unclarified.
Taste
Jordi Llorens Atikete is a natural red wine with fruity aromas and herbal touches. In the mouth it is intense, with sweet and round tannins.
