Description
Luis Cañas Reserva is a red wine produced in the vineyards of Bodegas Luis Cañas in the Rioja Alavesa area (D.O. Ca. Rioja). It is made from Tempranillo grapes (95%) and a small proportion of Graciano (5%).
On a gastronomic level, this wine goes well with dishes such as cured cheeses, roasted or grilled red meats, stewed game meats, as well as with some fish such as turbot and cod.

Elaboration
This red wine is made from vineyards with an average of 45 years in operation, located in soils with a high clay and lime content, properties that make the grapes exquisite!
The grapes have been selected on the table, bunch by bunch, on arrival at the winery. After pressing, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
In the cellar, the wine was aged in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels for two years.
Luis Cañas Reserva is aged for 18 months in barrels and a further 18 months in the bottle before its commercialisation.
