Description

For more than 250 years, the Emrich-Schönleber family has been involved in viticulture. However, the real transformation to today's winery began in the late 1960s. Since then, the vineyard area has grown from two to around 20 hectares, which today are planted to 85% Riesling, supplemented by Grauburgunder and Weissburgunder. The best locations are Monzinger Halenberg and Frühlingsplätzchen. In a mixture of different types of slate and quartzite, exquisite wines are produced, Rieslings that dance lightly and playfully on the palate and whose fruity acidity invites further drinking.

Taste

Emrich - Schönleber Riesling Trockendeslumineswith a brilliant light yellow in the glass. This white wine offers aromas of grapefruit, lime, lemongrass, acacia and white currant, complemented by Mediterranean herbs and garrigue. It is a dry wine that will satisfy those wine lovers who prefer an absolutely dry taste. With only 6.1 grams of residual sugar, this Riesling stands out for its fruity acidity, presenting itself on the palate as extraordinarily fresh and lively. In addition, there are mineral notes of flint, paraffin, incense, wet chalk and rain-soaked slate.
