Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The one wine that is not from their Valdepusa Estate but from vineyards in the province of Madrid is the 2014 El Rincón. It's mostly Syrah, with 2% of Garnacha Tintorera from granite soils. It matured in French barriques for ten months. The nose was clearly different, with some earthy aromas, notes of almonds, herbs and a certain rusticity. The palate revealed some dusty tannins and a slightly bitter finish. 14,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2017.
