Jardín de la Emperatriz Blanco is a wine made from the Viura grape variety. It is a modern interpretation of Rioja classics by the Hernáiz Brothers, who strive to create a product full of singularities and capable of pleasing the most diverse consumers.
The winery where this wine is made is located in Santo Domingo Haro, in Baños de Rioja, very close to the province of Burgos. This area, located at the most continental end of the D. O. Ca. de La Rioja, has a particular microclimate that is characterised by being dry and a little cooler. Ideal for the production of fresh wines.
After the grapes are harvested by hand, they are gently pressed. Subsequently, the extracted must is left to rest on the skins for approximately two or three days . After the alcoholic fermentation process, the wine rests with its fine lees at a controlled temperature for approximately two months.
In the mouth it is perceived as a light, fresh wine with certain bitter nuances that contrast with its floral aroma with fruity touches. Its silky texture combines with a slight carbonic nuance for an interesting aftertaste. It is a young wine, designed to be enjoyed without major complications.
Tradition and innovation in the same bottle
Jardín de La Emperatriz Blanco is a safe bet for the method of elaboration of the great classics of La Rioja. All this without losing the elegance and refinement that characterise it.
