Description
Matthieu Barret No Wine's Land is an aged red wine that has been made from Syrah in the Rhone Valley region by Matthieu Barret under the appellation Côtes Du Rhône in France.
Mathieu Barret, owner of Domaine du Coulet, crafts this pure Syrah from vineyards planted around 1978.
These vineyards have been cultivated under certified biodynamic viticulture techniques and low intervention process in the winery.
Winemaking
The grapes were organically and biodynamically farmed and after an early harvest they underwent a 2-week maceration before fermentation with natural yeasts in concrete tanks.
The wine is aged for 13 months in oak barrels. The wine is bottled without fining and with very little sulphur added.
Taste
Matthieu Barret has given this Syrah a deliciously fruity style with a high aromatic intensity. On the palate it is a powerful red wine with a pleasant freshness, acidity and minerality.
